Family Health The overall backdrop of 2022 was one of health issues. It’s been incessant, or so it feels. It started with one of my parents being taken seriously ill in the first week of January. Some new year’s news. A week or so before Christmas, I emailed the DSF’s Fellowship Committee to say that I wanted to start thinking about stepping back as a Fellow. I’ve been here since January 2018. It’s been the greatest honour serving. But it’s time for me to do something else. I’m not leaving Django — far from it! — I want to code, and mentor, and write.
