Introducing the Stack Report

I'm trying something new.

I'm going to do a monthly longer form piece on application development, operations, and the process (and business) of making software. You know the usual stuff.

I'm going to do this as a subscription newsletter, at €5/month or €50/year, and see how that goes. Maybe it does, maybe it doesn’t, but I’m going to try it. I'm going to give it at least a year. First email will be end of the month. It should be fun.

You'll be supporting the writing of the newsletter itself, the other content I put online here and elsewhere, and indirectly the various open sourcing I do, so any subscriptions welcomed.

You can sign-up without paying anything. I'll send the occasional update email to free subscribers. Think lower-frequency than the blog here, but that's not really the point of the exercise. You won't get the longer form monthly pieces though: that's what you're subscribing for.

No doubt overkill for the three people that subscribe – Hello Mum! 👋 — but some technical points:

• I think the €5/month link works fine from the Buttondown UI, but I don't seem to be able to link the €50/year payment link as well. If you want to use that it's there. 👈
• I'm new to Buttondown. I think it Just Works™ if you're subscribed and then you use the payment link. If it doesn't, don't panic, we'll sort you out.
• If you're in the EU, click the "I'm a business" option, and need a VAT invoice, let me know.
